What we help with

Most projects start with one task that has become hard to keep up with. We learn how it is done today, then build what is needed. We use AI where it is useful, such as reading documents, and keep people in charge of the decisions.

  • Websites for your customers

Sites that explain what you do and let people inquire, book or order, connected to how each request is handled afterwards.

  • Internal work and reporting

Admin screens for orders, bookings, inventory, settlements or requests, so the people responsible can enter, find and check everything in one place.

  • Documents and data preparation

Reading invoices, order sheets and spreadsheets, checking them against your records and preparing them for the next step, with a person reviewing the result.

  • Existing tools and on-site equipment

We work with the software you already use, and set up tablets, kiosks, printers and other devices where the work actually happens.

A restaurant system, from the table to the back office

Rasara is our own product for restaurants. It connects moments that are usually handled separately: a guest ordering, staff running the floor, and the owner reviewing the day.

Guests order from a tablet or a QR menu at the table. Orders print in the kitchen and appear on the staff screen with each table's status, and the owner manages the menu and reviews sales in the admin. We have installed it on site, trained the staff, and followed up by phone, remotely and with return visits.

In use at restaurants in the Toronto area. Developed and operated by Rasara.

A purchasing system for a food distributor

The purchasing team at a food distribution company receives supplier invoices as PDFs and spreadsheets, each in a different layout, and has prepared every one by hand before entering it into their ERP.

We built an internal tool that reads an uploaded invoice, matches each line to the company's product list and flags the lines it is not sure about. A team member reviews and confirms those, then downloads a workbook prepared for their existing process.

In development and testing with the purchasing team. Staff enter the result into the ERP themselves; the tool does not write to it.

  1. A list of supplier invoices showing invoice number, supplier, date, total, progress and the person in charge
    1Invoices received
  2. A table of invoice lines matched to product codes, with two lines flagged for review
    2Match and review
  3. The final step of an invoice, with a prepared workbook ready to download
    3Ready to export

How we work

From the first conversation to changes after launch, you talk directly with the person who builds the system.

  1. Understand the work

We start by listening and, where possible, watching how the work is done today: who does it, with which files, apps and devices, and where it gets stuck.

  2. Agree on a small first scope

We pick one problem, write down what is included and how we will know it is done, and agree on the cost before building.

  3. Build and put it to use

We build against real examples of your work and set it up where it will be used, including devices if needed, then walk the people who will use it through it.

  4. Improve it in use

Once it is in daily use we check whether it actually helps, and adjust it based on what the people using it tell us.

Who you will work with

Jay Ahn

Founder, Rasara Technologies Inc.

Jay has built web platforms and operations systems for more than 15 years. He was a founding member of ONDA, a hospitality-tech company, where he led the front-end team behind its reservation, pricing and account management systems, and earlier co-founded a travel booking platform.

He went on to lead the admin platforms for orders, operations and settlement at Brandi, an e-commerce company, as engineer and product owner. He then led the first release of a B2B fintech product at Bolta, and front-end development of a travel booking platform and its partner extranet at OnVacation.

Most recently he has led development of an analytics platform for a non-profit organization, through an applied research project at George Brown College.

At Rasara he works with each client directly. He listens to how the work is done, builds the system, installs it on site and follows up once it is in use.

Rasara Technologies Inc. is based in Toronto and works in English and Korean.
